When Worlds Collide
What would happen if you took the default iOS 14 wallpapers and blended it with one of the most iconic Aqua wallpapers from Mac OS X?
I'd been inspired recently by Hector Simpson's recent release of Aqueux, a collection of wallpapers blending the iconic Aqua wallpaper of Mac OS X Tiger with the colour palettes of modern macOS releases!
I wanted to take this philosophy and experiment with wallpapers from iOS. My starting point was taking the same Tiger wallpaper and mixing it with the default wallpapers from the most recent iOS release: iOS 14.
I'd planned to do more to modify the designs, but I was so struck by how pleasantly the colours and lines flowed when I overlaid the two patterns that I stopped right there and produced this first collection of wallpapers.
Each wallpaper is formatted to fit on displays up to 5K, and each colour set includes a light, dark, and dynamic (light/dark) wallpaper. As a bonus, matching iPhone wallpapers are available for download as well.
